Organisation of the School
Nursery
Children can be admitted to the Nursery in the September of the academic year (Sept-Aug) in which they turn four. The Nursey is staffed by a qualified teacher, who leads the whole of the Foundation Stage, and a team of experienced Early Years support staff. a Our Nursery offers either 15 hour a week or 30 hour a week placements.
The Nursery class provides an environment of continuous provision with whole class, small group and individual teaching activities as well. They work on topics which reflect the children's interests and their learning development.
Reception
We take Reception children into school in two classes in the September of the academic year (Sept- Aug) in which they become 5 years old. Each class is staffed by a class teacher and at least one full time Learning Support Assistant.
All children will be admitted into school full time in the September but with a gradual induction period over the course of the first two or three weeks. The curriculum and activities will reflect the age of the children particularly the very youngest.
The classes provide an environment of continuous provision mixed with whole class, group and individual teaching activities. They work on topics which reflect the children's interests and their learning development.
Year One
There are two Year One classes. Teachers plan together so that all children have the same learning opportunities. Children work in flexible, class based, ability groups.
There is a Learning Support Assistant attached to each class.

Year Two
There are two Year Two classes. The children are taught within their classes for all subjects where they work in flexible groups. The work is based around topics and is planned to reflect the children's interests and learning development.
There is a Learning Support Assistant attached to each class.
